Allusion to the Virgen de la Regla or Nuestra Señora de la Regla, patron saint of the Andalusian town of Chipiona (Spain) and also venerated in other places such as Cuba and the Philippines.
According to legend, during the stay in Africa of Saint Augustine of Hippo, an angel ordered him to carve a small image of this virgin, which years later was taken to Spain by his disciple Cyprian.
After a great storm, he managed to reach Chipiona, crossing the Strait of Gibraltar, where a hermitage was built and where she became the patron saint of sailors.
